Backpacks of Love

Last Saturday my church once again had the privilege of serving our local community on Cohasset Street. We fired up the pancake grills, filled the pinatas and took to the streets cleaning up trash. We’ve found these free neighborhood pancake breakfasts to be such an amazing time connecting with the local community. This time we brought “Jesus Loves You” backpacks and set up coloring stations for kids to customize their own backpacks with the colors they wanted. We had around 40 backpacks and they all went fast. I was sorry I didn’t buy more. Kids left happy and no longer hungry. It was a great opportunity for the Church to visibly be Jesus’ hands and feet in our world.
