I voted for Mitt

Today marks the second Election Day in the past decade that I will have spent on a plane but Godwilling I will get to take in all the excitement of the final hours from a restaurant in NYC.  A true patriot at heart, I am moved with emotion whenever I think about the United States of America.  I often try to pinpoint the times of my youth when this love for country would have been instilled in me and am overcome by a flood of memories of simple things that proved to have left such lasting impact.  Singing “America the Beautiful” in my 5th grade music class, reading the stories of real life American dream achievers Henry Ford and John D. Rockefeller in 8th grade US History, reciting the Pledge of Allegiance in 3rd grade wearing my blue and white plaid Catholic School uniform.  I do believe in the power of freedom.  I have experienced it first-hand. Here in America, you are not limited by the class you’re born into or the neighborhood you grew up in or even by your own physical restrictions.  Here in America, the sky is the limit for everyone.  It is the Great Experiment.  I am so blessed to be a part of it.

P.S. I voted for Mitt.
