Quinceanera

It’s hard to believe that the little flower girl who rang the brass bell with two hands in our wedding and announced “the bride is coming! the bride is coming!” is now fifteen. This time we were participating in her ceremony. In Mexican culture the Quinceanera is a rite of passage, a wedding-sized celebration of the transition from young girl to young woman. We had the privilege of being part of the ceremony. Jeff officiated and I bestowed the tiara as a symbol for her to always remember her identity in Christ. That she is a child of the King and that is both a great honor and a great responsibility. My flower girl is all grown up and I am so proud of the woman she has become.
