I spent the first half of this week at my favorite conference of the year, SXSW. There are a few reasons I love SX (pronounced South-By). First of all its in Austin, Texas and I love Texas. Secondly, it brings 30,000 of the most creative influencers in the world together in one place so I ALWAYS feel like I come away from this conference smarter than before even if only by osmosis. Third, it gives me an excuse to get creative with my outfits. Here’s what I wore to SXSW.
Daytime: Lots of layering is key in early March in Austin. The weather fluctuates from 40 degrees and raining one day to 80 degrees and sunny the next. I layered a white t-shirt under this denim button down in case it got too hot.
Day to Night: I wore this around the convention center to the conference sessions and then straight to dinner at Stubbs. I would have also worn it to the Mohawk for the various parties but I was happier going to bed early. It was versatile enough to carry me through the day and the light blazer was just warm enough to keep me cozy when the temperature began to drop.
